She couldn't help it; Liriael chuckled at Cassie's enthusiam but it was definitely catching, and she couldn't stifle her own grin. "Believe it or not, there are some ships with so many buttons that they have separate consoles for each part of the ship. Me, I like having something little and fast." Liri flicked off the locks and the repulser lifts powered to life; the ship started to rise gently. Over the comm, the port gave them clearance.
"Don't worry, you'll get the hang of it quickly. Most of the reason a copilot is needed is simply because I cannot reach everything on that side of the array," Liri gestured. "For now, I can tell you what to push, and when. It's not like we will be using weapons this trip out." The ship started to lift out of the bay. "There are both forward and rear docking rings on this ship type," she explained, explaining the buttons she had reached over to press. A little wistfully, she added, "I wish we had an astromech droid so I wouldn't have to do these calculations myself...maybe I can buy one after our next job. It would be good to have a mechanic who can talk directly to the ship."
