Ax was confused to find himself on what appeared to be a spacecraft of some kind rather than back on Earth. He knew that Crayak was not to be trusted, however, so a part of him was, at the same time, not surprised.

< Crayak, is this your doing? I was told we would be returned to Earth! > he called, but there was no response. No one around him would hear his calls, so long as they were directed privately rather than broadcast. He called out in private thought-speech again, hoping that one of his human friends would answer, but there was no reply.

There were a variety of creatures here, including humans, but Ax was unfamiliar with those he could see. He himself stood out, even among the variety of life forms present, with his humanoid torso and equine lower body giving him the look of a blue-furred centaur according to humans he'd encountered in the past. His hooves, slender but still strong, made loud clops on the metal flooring as he walked. His main eyes faced forward but his stalk eyes moved constantly, taking in everything around him. He held his blade-tipped tail ready for use but still nonthreatening for the moment. Some of the creatures regarded him with surprise or shock, while others barely seemed to pay him notice at all.

A robot of some kind approached him and directed him to another area, and Ax hoped he might find someone who could provide him some answers. Ax had some experience with androids, but one never knew if they were speaking to a Chee unless the hologram was dropped. This robot openly looked like a mechanical being. He listened as it explained about a time rift.

< A Sario Rip? > Ax asked. But the robot was not familiar with the term. It explained that Ax would get a few personal things and would be transported to a planet called Naboo. Ax wasn't familiar with it, but he wondered if, since he could not reach the others, perhaps he could reach his own superiors on the Andalite world somehow.
