"You'd be surprised how many people never bother to look up," she answered with a chuckle, pleased at how quickly Issan had taken to her plan. She heard the muttering, but didn't grasp its significance as the operative got settled on her back.
The bird's back flowed around Issan, grasping her firmly, almost stickily to give her a good seat. "Don't want you falling off," Gemini explained snarkily, before turning her attention to the exit. "All right then, let's go."
Breaking into a run powerful wings flapped once twice, propelling her and Issan into the air. Of all the things her powers let her experience flying was by far her favourite, the sensation of the air over feathers and the sheer sense of freedom being completely unbeatable in her mind. But this wasn't a joy-ride, there was work to do. Climbing rapidly upwards, her huge wingbeats built up speed, propelling them through the air to get them to their destination that bit quicker.
Ahead, the rooftop of the Resistance compound was unguarded as she had noticed while scouting earlier. Angling her wings, she swooped rapidly down, her grip on Issan loosening once her talons hit the rooftop so that the operative could slip off her back while she returned to her human form.
