Bellamy welcomed the distraction that Cat would provide. While he was happy to have his sister here, happy to be doing training with Glasya, things with Clarke were... less than ideal. He thought, after having been sent home and returned the first time, that things with Clarke would've been better. Even if he lost her back home, she was with him here and she'd seemed relieved. But then he went back and... well, just the memory flooded him with a bitterness he hadn't been able to shake when he thought of the blonde. He'd wanted her back so desperately and he fought so hard, only for everything to fall apart. Not only had he lost Clarke, but he got his own girlfriend and 49 of their people killed because of his antics.
And now Clarke was telling him things were worse. So the idea of being able to go somewhere, with someone who wasn't a part of that world, and not have to think about any of that was more than welcome. He was beginning to learn he cared far too much about Clarke's whereabouts within their world and he needed to get beyond that. Especially now that she was considering throwing in with the Resistance - despite the fact he told her that they shouldn't. He was lucky Octavia was siding with him for the time being.
He arrived at the bar and didn't immediately see Cat, but he went ahead and took a seat anyway. Leaning back in his seat, he pushed a hand through his dark, unruly curls and looked around the room. When she finally arrived, Bellamy looked up and was caught off-guard momentarily. Life on the Ark and then on the ground didn't really allow for any extras. Everything was utilitarian and necessary and so it wasn't very often he found himself face-to-face with women dressed like Cat was dressed tonight. He couldn't help the appreciative sweep his eyes gave her before swallowing and remembering he should answer before she thought he was some kind of creep.
"No, no way," he quickly replied and flashed his most charming smile to make up for the brief silence. "I haven't been here long," he stood up and after a slightly awkward beat where he wondered how to introduce himself, extended a hand to her. "You look nice," he complimented and found himself pleased with the fact this was entirely normal, even if he was slightly off his game.
