"No," Wanda said, her gaze jumping from Buffy -- she winced, that looked painful -- to the blaster that had hit her. The vampire holding it looked quite smug about his cheating ways.
A spark of red left Wanda's fingertip and sped to the blaster, disappeared inside of it, while Wanda's fist clenched and her eyes made tiny rapid movements, focused on that blaster.
When she spread her fingers wide, the blaster -- its overloaded power source -- exploded. Two cracked, half-melted shards of the blaster hit two different walls, and the vampire who'd been holding it looked like it was holding a ball of fire for a second before the fire spread. The vampire burned like something drier than a human body.
Wanda winced at that too, not expecting it. No wonder vampires were afraid of fire.
