Accepting the vibroblade, Wanda laughed a little. "I never thought I would have to say that my mistake was to bring a stake to a sword fight," she confided, removing it from the sheath and squinting at the edge. She whirled it around a little to get a feel for the balance, and then tucked it away. "Thank you, Buffy."
She pursed her lips unhappily, considering the idea of demons that just wanted to get by. "It is very common," she agreed. "Not just among demons. Evil is ..." She shrugged, uncomfortably, and left that one hanging, incomplete.
The next set of questions was easier for her. "I can throw many of them," she said dangerously. "If that is all I need to do. As long as they are not close enough to grab me. So I think that it makes sense to knock them all down first."
She tilted her head to the side, considering the fire idea. She wasn't thrilled with it, but after seeing vampires in action she understood why Buffy was suggesting it. "If we can trap them and only them, and if there is no system here for putting out fires--" She glanced at the ceiling. "Or I can perhaps make them think that there is a fire?"
She conjured up a bit of red energy and concentrated on shaping it into a form that snapped and blazed like a fire. She needed heat too, she realized. But what she created, that was energy; heat was energy; fire was energy; she might even be able to set real fires with her powers. She had never tried. "That might be another way to herd them," she said.
