"Trial and error is not a very good way to find a heart," Wanda agreed. "And I would rather not have to batter them all forever... They are fast."
She thought she could do better now that she had a little experience, but the way she'd been fighting was clearly not going to hold up to large numbers of vampires. She'd barely held off the one for long enough to find the heart.
"It is defense," she said in response to the serial killer comment. "They did not wait to see who we were, they just attacked. And they are vampires." She stared at the victim of said vampires, her expression fierce. "How many demony things are there in your world? Do you think they're all here now?"
But that wasn't the biggest and most important question now, with vampires down the hall. "If I thrown them at you, can you use your scythe to behead them?" she asked. "Because otherwise.... I can try to make my energy sharper, like a sword and not a bludgeon, but I don't have a lot of practice with that. Or I can knock them all over with a wave of energy... But I don't want to knock you over..."
