Wanda smiled. "I knew a man who could fly with wings," she said. "Wings like a Falcon. I can't fly like that, but..."
The bus passed by streetlights, pools of light punctuated by darker areas, and the top of the bus was empty except for them. Wanda's power was already simmering strongly inside of her, all she had to do was push, timing it to correspond to a darker moment. It didn't take much to send her flying up into the air above the bus. She did a flip -- she was no gymnast, but she'd learned a little bit in her small time with the Avengers long ago, and it was something she'd kept practicing here, whenever she was out alone in the wilds of her home colony. Awareness and agility: she practiced it because it was fun, and because control of her body in tandem with her abilities would be useful if she ever had to fight.
She let herself drop toward the bus, regaining her seat as a streetlight illuminated the top of the bus. Wanda laughed, sitting primly like nothing had happened, and then held out her hand to Buffy. Not strictly necessary, but she thought it would make balancing easier.
Compared to stopping a speeding train, lifting two people was nothing for Wanda. The only tricky part of working with Buffy, and in this Wanda depended on Buffy being agile enough to balance and just applied most of the force to Buffy's feet. She thought it would probably feel like being pushed up by flying boots.
Wanda lifted them though the darkness, staying away from the lights -- the casino was very brightly lit, especially the lower levels where it was most crowded, but there were also shadows. When they reached the level of the top of the casino, Wanda stopped, hovering. "Tell me what to do," she whispered, careful not to hiss any sibilants to keep it quieter. "Or lean..." She'd be able to pick up on Buffy's motions.
She had her mental senses fully extended as well, to try to pick up on whoever was inside, and she shifted positions while hovering so that she and Buffy had the best view in, but Wanda didn't know what to look for, or what to avoid.
