Buffy returned the wave with one of her own and smiled as Wanda joined her. "I figured I'd take advantage of the whole open carry thing I've noticed around," She said with a half shrug. "Normally I'd have most of my gear hidden, but the scythe is nice showy piece that's hard to hide anyway, so you know, may as well flaunt it." The rest of her stuff that could be hidden was though, and she noticeably wasn't carrying a gun of any kind.
At first glance, Wanda looked like any other person, but Buffy got a whole vibe off of her. She didn't know all of Wanda's secrets or her backstory, and though she wanted to know, she wasn't going to push her for it. Besides, she could tell when someone needed to do something other than deal with whatever was going on in their head. Vamp hunting made for a great distraction.
"Well first of all, we have to get more confirmation on the rumors. Best place for that is a bar or a club. Normally it would be because it's easier to lurk and hide among drunks if you were a demon or something, but with the whole alien thing a lot of them can just wander in the open." Buffy motioned for Wanda to follow her. She wasn't sure where she was going exactly, but where there were crowds and music, she'd probably find a place to start. "It shouldn't be too hard, which is cool as long as they aren't evil. But anywhere that serves booze in abundance makes for a great buffet. People are less aware of their surroundings, making them easy targets for the crappiest of blood suckers."
As Buffy walked, her instinct to follow some of the larger groups paid off pretty quickly. There was a bar around a corner that looked pretty busy, which meant it was a good place to start. "Crappy vampires are sloppy ones. So if there's a nest they're risking them by being stupid. Works out for us, not so much for them."
