Cassie pulled herself back behind the dumpster as more blaster fire erupted in the spot where her face had been. She clutched the grenade carefully, and decided to make her move. They were being picked apart one by one, as though whoever was attacking knew full well what they were up to and where they'd be. The whole thing smacked of a preconceived plan and she already knew one of her coworkers was probably to blame for. Well, that, or perhaps a member of the new group. Either way, it wasn't something to worry about until she'd gotten herself safe, preferably in one piece.
Darting out from behind the dumpster, she threw the grenade in the general direction of the gunfire; even though her movements were quick, she still felt a burning sensation on her arm. The grenade seemed to hit home a few moments later as a pulse of electricity lit up the dark alley for a few precious seconds, bringing a ceasefire. Cassie lurched to a halt, skidding into the wall behind the Bothan hidden behind the metal bin and landing on her ass behind him.
"Man, I really hope this wasn't your guys's plan, because I can't stand this fucking double-crossing shit," she muttered, not honestly expecting a reply. Though she could feel the pain in her arm, she ignored it, choosing to unholster her blaster once more for the inevitable return of the enemy. No one ever went down that easily.
"Anyway, even if you aren't the bad guys, I think we've got a minute or two. We should get the fuck out of here while we can." She climbed back to her feet, keeping to a crouch. Her arm throbbed, but at the moment, it was the least of her concerns.
