Cat wandered through the market, looking every bit the completely care-free and innocent youth that she wasn't. But something prickled at her senses, that vague indefinable sensation of being watched. Stopping by a fountain, Gemini put her boot to the rim and went through the motions of tightening the laces, using the movement to subtly check for anyone watching her.
To all outward appearances her eyes were completely focussed on her shoes, but her eyes weren't really eyes at all, in fact with a slight alteration Gemini could see with any part of her form that she wished, eyes on the back of her head indeed, although not nearly so crude. It took her a moment to spot the man whose eyes were fixed on her, but his attention was unmistakable. Who was he? A spy of some kind or just a man who'd been struck by her looks? There was only one way to find out.
Finishing with her pseudo boot, Gemini began to walk towards one of the market's exits, turning a corner and slipped into some shadows to wait, changing her colour to blend in perfectly. If he followed her then she'd know for sure, if not then the man would avoid a painful appointment with a finger-blade jabbed through his throat.
