Liriael still felt that tickle of something at the back of her mind, but the door unlocked presently and she walked in. Truth be told, she had only met Lord Bibble once before, when he first contracted with her, and she had marked this as low-probability for any real danger. In fact, as far as she could tell, he was using her as merely a showpiece to indicate how important he was at these events. None of her preliminary research indicated that he was being targeted.
As he came in, Liriael folded her hands behind her back in a loose bearing, staying in the foyer and at attention. "Of course, sir, and I am sorry to hear that. I know you were looking forward to tonight's festivities." Well, she guessed anyway, with how he had planned for it. She tentatively probed with the Force, just a little; perhaps he hadn't hired her for show and he was being poisoned or something along those lines. But all she found was a blank spot. It was unusual, but her first instinct was to chalk it up to a mind shield. Hmm, she hadn't thought him the disciplined sort.
