Who: Buffy Summers & Gemini de Mille What: Shopping and Stuff! When: Early afternoon. Where: A shopping district on Naboo, near where most of the rift dwellers live. Rating: PG/PG13 at the moment. Status: Complete.
Buffy usually loved shopping, though her idea of shopping for fun tended to involve a more clothes, lots of shoes, and a stop to get her hair done. Ok, so her shopping now still included all of those things, but it also became a little bit of a chore with her need to be stocked full of supplies for her ship. She had a general idea of what she needed to live, her droids were helping her out with that, but she was having a little harder time trying to get a hold of all the possible slaying supplies. She really had no clue if the local version of holy water would work against vampires. Not that she regularly relied on the stuff, but it had its uses and Buffy wanted all her bases covered, just in case. And while the vibroblades were nice and all, she wasn't sure they'd be of use to creatures weak to silver or the like. This place was seriously making her wish for someone to play research junkie for her.
After what had happened the other night, Buffy was definitely heading out to check out the vamp rumors Wanda had told her about. She now had absolute confirmation that her kind of fanged ones existed here and she couldn't live with herself if she didn't go check it out. If they were causing problems it was up to her to handle it. She was planning to return to Naboo afterward though, deciding it was a good as a place as any to consider 'home' and possibly be keep her grounded. It would also give her good reason to keep checking back to see if anyone from home had arrived.
As she did her shopping, Buffy could feel that someone or something was watching her. It wasn't exactly a new experience here, but she could tell when someone was stalking her or taking more interest in her than normal. She wouldn't be much of a slayer if she couldn't watch her own back. The question was whether or not she was a mark of some kind or not. She wasn't getting any demony vibes off whoever it was, but that didn't mean they couldn't be dangerous. Luckily, she wore the blonde cheerleader persona with enough ease even now that it was kind of scary. Hopefully they wouldn't know what hit them if they tried anything. So she went about her business and pretended she had no idea she was being followed.
