Glasya's brow raised higher still, the corner of his mouth quirked to match. He could hardly dismiss this new information, but it did not entirely surprise or dissuade him. There were any number of reasons Bellamy might have been deemed unfit for service, even temporarily; Glasya could think of a handful of his own family who had been in the same situation. They had found other ways to be of use. Perhaps that would be the case here as well. Still, Bellamy's caveat, his need to defend himself from an accusation that had not come, was interesting. Glasya latched onto it.
"I see. So the circumstances surrounding your... being kicked out... were resolved?" He folded his hands in front of him, contemplative. "I should clarify. I'm not interested in your past except as it informs your present. Everyone deserves a second chance, and all that. But before I extend any offer to you I need to be certain you're trustworthy, dedicated, and willing to accept instruction. Ours is not an easy path, but I swear to you it is a worthwhile one. So. Can you assure me that your dismissal was not cause for me to be concerned?"
