He nodded. Bellamy had been concerned with the thought of being too old to be able to really benefit from learning the skills. Issan said training took years. It seemed like learning a language or something - the younger you were the better, and Bellamy was already in his early twenties. He'd been the oldest person by five years when they first went to Earth. But he was determined to work it to his benefit as best he could; he did it on Earth, so why not here?
"I was trained as a member of the Guard on the Ark. I was only a cadet before they kicked me out," the bitterness that crept into his voice was only momentary.
