Heading South
Who: Angelica and Clay
When: Day 6 the asscrack of dawn
Where: Heading South
What: Out in search of alternate places to stay.
Rating: PG-13 at the least
Angelica wasn't always a morning person, generally. She tended to work nights at the police department. So, she was there relatively late. The result of her being here, though, she'd had to head and try to get to sleep when everyone else had, and thought it'd been difficult,s he'd eventually gotten some sleep. She was up at the asscrack of dawn, though. It was early, but she knew that she and Clay, as she had figured out was his name, would get further if they headed out now. Angelica had on her leather jacket, having thrown it on moreso than the blanket that she'd been given for the night. She didn't know that she liked the arrangements all that much. Sleeping in a treat presented issues to Angelica. There was the issue that someone could fall, and not everyone could climb a tree all that well. She'd rather find somewhere else.
So, she was up, and there were others she could see stirring. Angelica could already feel some of the heat for the day and knew she wasn't going to need her jacket. She slipped it off and left it in her hammock, slipping a pen into her hair and stuffing the pad into her empty back pocket. Angelica was tall enough and had long limbs, it didn't take her but a few moments to move, and she looked for Clay, a lot of people were asleep, though there were a few that weren't. She didn't find Clay, though. She let out a few muttered curses and was already regretting her decision to take him
Angelica cursed to herself the whole time she was climbing down. When her feet hit the ground she stretched, her muscles were fine, honestly. She didn't feel too bad, but she disappeared into the brush for a few moments and then was back down at the bottom of the tree. Angelica checked her ankle holster and her pocket, taking out the knife, it was larger than a standard pocket knife. She had everything on her, and she was ready to go, now she just had to wait for her 'partner' to show up for this shit. Angelica was giving the guy two more minutes before she took off without him, she noted that to herself as she pulled her hair out of the tail it was in and did it over, shoving the pen through. She might as well write down landmarks or anything that needed to be notice while she was out there. Waiting wasn't Angelica's forte, though. She was impatient and ready to take off walking already, even if she hadn't gotten all the sleep she needed, she was good to go, the same should be for others!
"Stupid little fucker, not waiting forever. Should be ready"
She mumbled as she flipped the blade out on her pocket knife and then shut it, shoving it into her pocket. She decided then and there to take her handgun out of her ankle holster and moved it to the waistband of her jeans, pulling her t-shirt down over it, an effective hiding place. She wasn't waiting much longer, and she was still repeating that to herself as she looked around, glaring at the shrubbery and everything around her. Okay, so Angelica wasn't a morning person...
