Who: Rook & Helena Where: Grazer island When: Early morning Rating: PG
Rook had the best sleep since arriving on this god-forsaken planet. The ground was hard and comforting beneath him, and the heat of the fire had been generous and appreciated the entire night. He hadn't chosen to huddle with anyone in particular, sitting close to the fire and stoking it when it had died. Despite only the couple of hours Rook had actually managed to close his eyes and doze, they had been almost perfect, calm rest.
Getting up, he meandered down towards the water, careful to avoid any sleeping grazers. He didn't want to be responsible for a stampede if he surprised one of them, after all. His boots felt a little tight, and he eased them off before stepping into the cool stream. Tending to the fires had seared the skin of his hands and cheeks, and Rook dipped his head into the water with a thankful sigh, sitting down on the water's edge. His arm had been healing well, all things considered, and he winced slightly, rinsing any dirt off his skin. Without any soap, he couldn't do much, but at least it was better than nothing.
Being away from the fire and his blankets, Rook was feeling a little cold, Still... it was so serene and quiet by the water, and he loved it.
