Olivia gave a small shrug when he whispered. Having people apologize to her was not something she experienced a lot, if ever really. For a moment it made her feel uncomfortable and unsure of what to do.
"I-I don't m-mind," she said faintly, which was a lie for the most part. She did mind being alone, but it was better than becoming close with any of the people in her life. The people that were supposed to love her didn't, the people she befriended left and the people she wanted most to avoid kept coming around. It often made her feel as if there was something wrong with her.
Her mother tried to sell her, her father could be anyone and the foster family that was supposed to make her feel welcome made her feel as if she had to be perfect in order to be considered normal. The only people that actually welcomed her into their lives were lonely men and even then, she wasn't welcome. She was a dark secret that most would destroy before letting her destroy them.
"I deserve it," she whispered finally as she buried her face against her arm.
