"It wouldn't hurt to try," Meredith agreed. "Maybe over time we could cross-breed some of the plants," she suggested excitedly. They would have to be stuck there for several 'seasons' if they wanted to do that, but Meredith didn't seem to mind that at all if they were learning new things while trapped in such a strange place.
"I can't imagine that all of these plants remain alive year-round," she said thoughtfully. "Which might cause a problem if there is a winter season here and we have become dependent on the plants being in season. Or if the animals here hibernate during the colder season. We'll be without food until it warms up again. But then again, it's possible it remains hot all the time, like in places near the equator."
