Helena exucuted the closest thing to a shake off that she could manage and then put her slightly damp but much less smelly pjs back on. She flashed a smile at the chatty girl's back and decided instantly that she enjoyed Meredith's company. "Yes, that's him. I know he looks scary but you can trust him. I do." She stepped over and tapped the girl lightly on the shoulder. "If you haven't got your hammock secured, we should go and do that now. The sun is already setting." She waited for Meredith to gather her book and turned back toward the hometree. "You should take a handful of the berries or boiled pesk eggs up into your hammock for the night. Just to have something to nibble on. Ah, no one has told you about the laughers? Well let me assure you, as long as you stay safely in your hammock all night, they can't hurt you. There is a nocturnal predator here, very large. Pretty scary looking. They can't jump or climb trees though, it seems, so we sleep up in the branches." She flashed a smile at the girl. "Seems practical, doesn't it?"
