I’ve made the decision to retire Maeve from the game. I might reapp her at some later date, but right now I just can’t seem to do her justice, she’s too nice, lol.
Feel free to use her as an npc as needed though or I’ll do guest spots for her or something if needed.

From 6pm Sunday evening, wards in journals will not work. All wards posted from 6pm onwards will be visible to all, and the intended recipient will also be known. Characters will not know this unless someone points it out. This is until the end of the week.
NB: If you are posting on a journal posted before the 6pm cut off, then that will remain private.
This mini-plot relies on you posting things! It doesn’t have to be particularly damaging, but it’s a great opportunity to create extra personal plot. Also, it would be great if characters don't just say "HEY EVERYONE WARDS DON'T WORK". Because, well, that would be boring.

Hey guys! As you all know, I've been more or less out of the loop for the past couple of months thanks to RL issues, but now that they've been handled (for the most part), I'm trying to work my way back in. I don't think I actually did one of these for Lily when we were first accepted, but I think I definitely need to do one now, and hopefully, we can solidify friendships/rivalries/connections and maybe even come up with some awesome potential plot? Anyway, without further ado, here's Lily!
I believe most of you have played with her at one point or another and for the most part, she's remained the same, but here are the main highlights for her in this particular game.
- Gryffindor ('71-'78); Prefect, Head Girl, Slug Club.
- Became a healer after graduation and is now deputy healer-in-charge of the third floor (potions and poisonings) at St. Mungo's.
- Original and current Order member.
- Mother of four. Harry and Daisy both attend Hogwarts, though Rose and Henry are still too young.
- Very proud of her muggle heritage and finds ways to integrate muggle culture into the daily lives of her husband and children.
- Is a karaoke junkie and anything 80s is her jam.
- Adores her half-Kneazel despite James' grumblings that it wants to murder him.
As I said above, I would love to touch base with all of you and fine-tune whatever connections Lily has or could potentially have with everyone in the game. Any and all plots would be most welcome, please and thank you! <3

Amidst the chaos, Ren steps in.
This is Serenity Selwyn, commonly known as Ren.
She has JUST been broken out of Azkaban, and well TL:DR - she is fucking insane. Not that she wasn't crazy before, of course, but Azkaban exacerbates these things. And she embraced the insanity head-on -- why fight that which makes you stronger? That is her view.
She went to Azkaban 12 years ago, gladly. Proud to serve The Dark Lord and to go to prison for him, rather than renounce him. She has serious daddy issues and he manipulates those entirely.
In the war, she was ruthless and brutal. Preferring to torture victims without magic ("because you don't need magic to break someone's mind, people are weaker than they like to admit"), and currently has the DE top record for getting prisoners to speak.
She is insanely loyal, not just to Voldemort, but to those in the inner circle. Most of whom she has slept with. Not in a romantic sense, however. Just because she likes sex and she likes them. Christmas is her favourite day of the year, and she has missed receiving a set of silk pyjamas.
She has NO social graces. She is Sacred 28, but she grew up poor, unloved and feral. Slytherin '75. One step-brother, who is irrelevant and (hopefully) dead but he's too unimportant to look up.
Give me things! Backstory, future ideas? She will probably make your life hell just for the fun of it.

HI PEOPLE.
This is my first Weasley. I think? Doesn't seem right somehow. :O
Anyway, say hi to Charlie!
He is like the complete polar opposite of my other characters personality-wise, haha.
- Very easy going and laid back.
- King of procrastination and "relax, let's just see what happens".
- incredibly resourceful and handy. need something? He'll know where to get it - or better yet, he'll make one for you. He loves DIY.
- very loyal and protective. Will also stand up for people he doesn't know if he thinks they're being wronged. Has a fiery temper when crossed, much like Molly.
- loves dragons. OBVIOUSLY.
- Officially lives in Romania, but is transferring to the reserve in Wales for a year as a result of a bad break-up and a difficult ex. Needs some time away to clear his head.
- Also his family is here, so that's a bonus. Mum's cooking is the best.
- Gryffindor, obviously. 1984-1991
- Proud to be a blood traitor. Purists suck ass.
Connections would be awesome! Although, as he's back in the country for the first time in two years, there will be some catching up to do on the who's whos (I wrote that out about 10 times and it still doesn't look right, but it is xD). It's likely that a lot of the characters here will know of his parents, however, and that works.

Peer pressure alert! Emily here with Andromeda Tonks.
- You know the family tree.
- Slytherin class of ‘71
- Deputy lead for the healer training program at St Mungos.
- She is a very protective sort of person, and even though her sisters hate her she still won’t let people badmouth them really around her.
- Will not let people call her Romy because it makes her sad.
- Incredibly tidy.
- She’s not fantastic at letting her guards all the way down since the Black family disowned her, so sometimes comes off a little haughty.
- Smokes when stressed, so a lot of that right now.
Pleeeeeeaase give me any and all plots you can think of. I’m super nervous about going Andromeda justice.

This is my first Order member.
Ever.
It's Marlene McKinnon!
- Goes by her nickname Mickey, but doesn't mind being addressed by her given name.
- 33-year-old (soon to be 34) Gryffindor class of '78.
- Half-blood.
- Ex-Auror.
- Semi Order member.
- Her entire family was murdered by Voldemort in July of 1981. After the war, she left England.
- Currently resides in Teaticket, Massachusetts (yes, you're welcome).
- Is a bartender at a local wizarding pub.
The adventurous and bold type, she was a badass Auror and Order member during her tenure with them. She is fiercely loyal to her friends and truly a lovely person with a fire inside. The resident cool girl, she can be a bit hot-tempered and hard-headed when provoked enough. Underneath it all, she's a romantic well aware of her attractiveness, but doesn't let it get to her head. For now, Mickey is enjoying her time on the shores of Teaticket in her wizarding home overlooking the water.
She is in the same year as the Marauders! So, friends, there may be lots of them as she is a lovely person.
As an Auror and Order member, there may be just as many enemies...

Introducing Emily’s third character, because she can’t resist. This is Maeve Prewett, family tree wise she is the daughter of Molly’s cousin and would love to be friends with Weasleys please.
- 22, halfblood, trainee healer.
- Hufflepuff class of ‘90
- Mother to Ivy, who is about to turn 3, which means she got pregnant pretty soon after starting her healer training, not long out of Hogwarts.
- Coparenting with the baby daddy, but not together.
- She lost her mother, who worked for the DMLE squad, when she was 9 after a call went bad.
She’s your little warm ray of sunshine in comparison to Kiki’s fireball. She’s messy, a little naive, but calm in a crisis and friendly and caring. Given the way she lost her mum she would love to be able to help in the fight against Voldie, even if it’s just healing the main fighters without asking a million questions. She’s too trusting and so has slept with a few men who were probably bad for her and made a few bad decisions.
Hit me up if you have plottage or backstory for her!

Just wanted to say, if you have any plots you want to help move along - let me know! You are welcome to use The Daily Prophet as a tool for this (you can use the "also in the news" part if you want it to be low-key and subtle). Submit anything via the mod contact page, or just nudge me in the chat.
And we have a new Minister! He is sort of an NPC, but will likely interact a bit more than a regular NPC because CLEARLY he is one of the people. Ahem. Also, he will be ruffling some feathers. Run the button!
This is also the last week before the end of the activity checks for this month. So get your stuff in soon for it to be counted! Most of you have smashed it already, but there are some who need a few more bits here and there (myself included).

Hi folks! I thought I'd posted this but turns out I just thought really hard about it, oops. I'm AK, and I am bringing you the one and only (no longer appearing solely at Azkaban!) Rodolphus Lestrange. He wasn't really a great guy to begin with (unless you like cocktails with a side of murder) but he's spent a long time with dementors and it hasn't improved his temper any. I am expecting very few characters to be pleased to see him, but I really look forward to plotting and playing with you all! (...why is there no emoji for a hopeful sort of encouraging I'm-nice-really-I-just-play-a-murderer-on-the-internet smile??) Please hit me up for past dynamics and future engagements, I am up for anything.

Hello lovely people.
Amy here, and this is Kingsley Shacklebolt. Badass auror. Here to balance things out a bit.
Kingsley is one of the best in the business. Responsible for catching more scumbags than anyone else during the war. However, many of these delightful humans managed to squirm their way out of long-term conviction and were released back into polite society.
Kingsley has never forgiven the DMLE or himself for allowing so many high-profile Death Eaters to 'get away with it'. He has since taken it upon himself to see justice done, an obsession that has led to self-destructive behaviour. He's foolhardy and often reckless, and he doesn't think twice about poking people with a stick to provoke the reaction he wants.
He's a good guy, but he's in a bad mood.
Connections: Obviously Auror types and Order members. He was never an official member, as neutrality was more advantageous to the cause, but he worked closely with Dumbledore and his bff Alastor Moody. He also has an ex-wife and 17-year-old daughter, and a younger sister. I expect he has 'history' with some Death Eaters in-game, as well.
Open to all the things!

I'm going to do the whole OOC character intro thing for my two, because... why not? Plus it keeps it in one place.
First is this girl, Theia Avery. 32, Slytherin class of 1980, and in a serious relationship with Evan, who she lives with. She owns a cocktail bar called Nyx, which used to be called something else and owned by her big brother, the DE coward who blamed a curse and ran away. She also sells potions as well as her cocktails, although that's mostly hush hush and darker than your average apothecary.
She is up for all the dark witch friends, especially ones who can deal with or give back sarcasm. Really, she could do with all sorts of links.

She's 28, Gryffindor class of '84, and a reporter for Daily Prophet. She's all smiles and fun. She did train as an auror, right up until she was about a month off finishing her three years of training, so she knows a lot more than your average reporter though.
She needs as much in terms of links as possible. I need to try and cement her into the game.

YO YO YO.
We're going live tomorrow morning (GMT). Eeeep!
Just so everyone is on the same page, here is a TL:DR rundown of the premise and timeline (because I'm SO nice).
* All canon up until mid-1980.
* Everything after this stage goes a bit awry. So some folk who are dead in canon, may not have died. Some who didn't die, ARE dead. etc.
* Snape managed to throw Voldemort off the scent of the Potters (temporarily), so he focused on the Longbottoms first.
* Alice and Frank died.
* Voldemort "died", much like in canon but with Alice sacrificing herself instead of Lily. As far as anyone knows, Neville is dead too.
* Death Eaters went on trial, as in canon. Some got away with it. Some didn't. Those who remained started to question each other. They are divided on what they believe but have kept the rift low-key, especially after they disbanded. Bigger fish to fry, etc.
* The Order also disbanded as the threat from Voldemort disappeared - some remain ever vigilant though. Most have stayed in contact with each other.
* Without his son disgracing the family name, Barty Crouch Senior went on to become the Minister for Magic. He is seen as a fair and strong leader but his obsession with rooting out the Dark Arts is often whispered about.
* Recently, people are getting edgy because of weird shit happening. e.g. Thick fog in Diagon Alley, alleged werewolf attack in Hogsmeade, etc. This is putting the Ministry on edge.
There's probably more I've forgotten about. Go look.

As we all know each other, don't feel you have to do mega OOC intros! But maybe a few notes that you think are important? Especially if they're different from canon, or you have an OC.
