Piper
You didn't know him back home, Piper. You didn't even know you were a demigod when he did what he did. So how can you possibly say that?
Do you have any idea what it's like to command a legion? To have people following you, trusting you with their lives? It's a huge responsibility. And when we led the assault on Kronos's stronghold, I let a good number of those soldiers down. My Centurions, demigods who trusted me, fell by the dozens because of the evil Luke Castellan unleashed.
And they were innocent.
Why should Luke get a second chance when they don't? How is he so much better than the brave Romans who died because Luke Castellan was too weak to do the right thing? Where is the sympathy for the Son of Mars who died in my arms after getting pierced by a spear thrown by one of Kronos's minions?
I will feel sorry for Luke Castellan when every last one of my lost Ceturions gets the same second chance at life that he was given. Until then, I will see the fact that he is alive as nothing more than a slap in the face of Rome, and all the good Centurions who fought and died to destroy what he brought to life.
