Of course I know what a Jedi is! I've watched all the movies, including the future ones that haven't come out yet relative to this year. I'm not familiar with your character, though.
Time travel within your own universe is usually not a problem, if you have the right technology. The only thing you really need to be careful of is not to create harmful temporal paradoxes. Meeting yourself is a big no-no, but the most destructive form of paradox happens when you interfer with the Web of Time, or altering a fixed point in time. Time Lords have evolved in such a way that we can instinctively know if any given moment is a fixed point in time, which shouldn't be tampered with, or in flux. Huge, historic events are usually fixed points, which is why, for example, I could crash into the office of Adolph Hitler at a flux point, but not prevent him from starting World War II, a fixed point. You can destabilise or destroy the entire space-time continuum, and then everything breaks down around it.
Oh, urm... in case you didn't know, Adolf Hitler was like a watered down version of the Emperor, without the Force.
All lives are unique, but you see them making the same mistakes, and that's incredibly frustrating. It's also very heart breaking to witness people growing old and dying, especially if you've formed a bond with them.
