I haven't been able to trust laws for years. What's kept me alive is controlling and understanding what other people know about me from how I act. You're still saying that the only difference between jawas and crooks is the motivation behind what they're doing the first several times anyone talks to them. What I'm saying, and all I'm saying, is that if that's the only difference you can't expect everyone to know and agree that they're good people. Sure, if they assume jawas are crooks and they're wrong they might risk missing out on being friends. But if they assume they aren't even though they're acting exactly the same way, then if they're wrong they might get robbed or killed. And they're allowed to protect themselves as well.
And yes, I have had to make that choice before. I chose to trust them and it worked out okay. But I didn't have to and most people thought I was absolutely crazy for doing it.
