So here I felt all special not having to burn a fake identity to get a pass this time around.

But then I realized you just invited me for the HYDRA reunion cocktail hour.

See above.

It's not a big surprise, but it could be worth keeping eyes on the ground

Apparently a decade of robotic innovation to display and people want toys.

Science, HYDRA, the two attract each other like magnets. The more likely you can use the science to control the world? The more likely it is HYDRA will be interested.

Soldiers have a politic when you hire them. People care less about their scientists' previous employers.

Which is actually what got us into this mess in the first place

In other words, scientists are not as apolitical as we might wish, and we should probably remember that in the future. Unfortunately it does wipe out a lot of really smart people and the devil you've known.

Surprising, right?

I'd say a lot of scientists, SHIELD or HYDRA, landed on their feet in industry and might not ever look back. But outside of people still working for one camp or another, it's a hard call.

It'll be interesting to see who Stark wants to pick up after this.

Right now I'm a little more interested in what's being talked about or not talked about. But eventually.

I think Stark's willing to break tradition on hiring HYDRA though.

Well there's a lot more than HYDRA to be interested in.

Resilient's talking about some of their prosthetic applications which is basically us and skywalker's arm, and I've earmarked Cross Tech on Tuesday. Although that is not 100% not-HYDRA either.

The AI symposium should be interesting and there's a panel on synthetic linguistics.

Of course there is. It wouldn't be much of an Expo if it was come on come all see HYDRA.

We have been borrowing one of their scientists when we need help with the same topic, so that makes sense. You've earmarked something after you think this Expo will crash and burn?

Synthetic linguistics already had a little star next to it.

Yeah. If you want to meet up later tonight, we can compare notes and formulate a strategic plan that doesn't involve maximal vendor swag.

Also, I'm recording for review.

Video or just audio?

Tempting as swag is, it weighs you down. I'm curious in what the tech is and who's most interested in it. That leads to the chance of afterparties.

Video mostly, but I wouldn't be surprised if there's interference at some pavilions. Chist knows I'd set up a scrambler. Open spaces and doorways should be clear.
