Anakin Solo bought up an interesting point in saying that, while we might find certain things offensive - Stormtroopers were his example, I believe - the fact that people gain something positive from the stories outweighs it. There's a point to which I agree with him. But it isn't my position to tell anyone else what they should or should not find respectful or disrespectful, so I am sorry.
But there are very few people here who could speak to the mentality and philosophy of falling to the Dark Side like Revan can. I was trying to gain something from that conversation; an insight that I do not possess. Help understanding something that I do not. Did I feel compelled to do no privately? Not particularly when no other aspect of my life (or his, for that matter) is. But it raises the same question that Solo did, does it. Does intent and personal gain outweigh the impact on others?
