Catty hadn't realized people could be from different times. It wasn't exactly like it was in her first thought processes arriving in this strange place. And jumping much further than she was capable of doing on her. own. The only time that had been possible was with Stanton's assistance. He had taken her back to when she was six years old and left wandering the desert. It was an experience that had answered a few of the questions she'd had but it also added plenty more that had to be answered.
Anyway, when Vanessa reminded her of what she always said it had made more sense. Catty always disagreed when people said that time was like a river. Her theory was that it occurs all at once and they just experience it like a river because that's the way it has been taught. She thought it was more like a huge lake that occurred all at once. It made sense if you could go back into the past or the future and everything was occurring.
She nodded her head. She hadn't met her roommate but there were other belongings here so she just assumed someone had to be living here. It seemed like a fair assumption to make. "I haven't met her yet though. I guess I haven't really been here that long either." From the time she arrived in her new bedroom to the time it took Vanessa to make her way to the room hadn't been that long. Catty supposed she'd meet her eventually.
"So you said the last thing you remember was rescuing me? That was a long time ago for me. In case you got pulled before I got to say it…thanks," Catty said, hugging her best friend. She remembered that day. She remembered reliving time with Karl and the others. It was not a very fond memory and not one Catty liked to think about. A lot had happened that Vanessa didn't know about. Serena and Stanton dating, regulators, Toby, Catty's birth mother Zoe, Chris, the scroll. Where was she supposed to start?
