Amidst the flowering plants of the rooftop garden, several small, circular tables have been neatly set with chairs.
Covered with linen and decorated with flowers, each table has a three-tiered plate stand, with a variety of delicacies.
The bottom tier has different types of finger sandwiches.
These include prawn with dill on white, roast beef with watercress on whole wheat, smoked salmon and cucumber sandwiches on white, asparagus with fresh herbs on pumpernickel, and wedges of Tourte Milanese.
The top two tiers have a selection of sweets.
Available are mini fruit tarts, mini chocolate eclairs, raspberry macrons, and slices of battenburg cake.
Of course, there is tea, served with milk, sugar and slices of lemon to taste. Other beverages include ice cold filtered water and pink champagne.
There is no dearth of food, with plenty for seconds and thirds.
Everything goes along swimmingly, until about 6:30, when Johnny Storm, who doesn't know about the party, arrives. He flies in as the Human Torch, and when he lands on the roof, Edwin sees him and panics. Thinking that the man is on fire and in distress, he uses the emergency fire extinguisher on Johnny. Then there's an awkward moment when Johnny, covered in fire extinguisher foam, has to explain to Edwin that 'flame-on' is his super power, and Edwin sheepishly apologizes.
