There are times where I can't help but think about how strange this place is. The ins and outs, the comings and goings, you make a life and you think it's stable, but then an arrival can turn it upside down.

And I realize that this is not endemic to this situation or this reality. After all, there have been times enough in my life where my world has shattered, or the entrance or exit of someone into it has changed it irrevocably - but it has a different feel here. At times it can feel almost like a theatrical rehearsal as you go through the same introduction over and over again, and even when someone stays, there's this rehearsed script you give them upon arrival - no it's not home, no we don't know how to get back, yes everyone is pulled from different times - what you knew at home? You'll know more and different things here and it will be like knowing the future, and yet not because your future here is unknown...

And I'm not really sure where I'm going with this.
