The question of symbiotes was difficult for May to answer. Truthfully it was difficult for her to even think about at all. Letting onto that point though? It wasn't an option. That was too much of a reveal of her hand when May knew that even the slightest showing of cards could have somewhat disastrous consequences right now.
"Knew someone who wore it once. Temper like you wouldn't believe. Nice enough underneath it all though, you know, if you could get past the whole 'I'm brooding in black' thing. I mean, what's with that anyway? Phenomenal cosmic space powers..." Because May was using the details he'd volunteered, even if she couldn't entirely back them up. "...and the color choice you go with is black? I mean. Same for secret agents and shield." She paused. "I know. I know. Black's supposed to make you look tough and cool or whatever. To me? It just looks like you need a hug."
Another pause.
"Which. You know. If that's really what you need. I'm sure we can find someone for you to hug it out with. Maybe the SHIELD folks, since you've got history there?" She shrugged at him, sticking to the humor. "And you know, I wouldn't call it hero thing. I mean, sure. Maybe if I was just your average girl or whatever. But." May looked herself up and down. "You know. I found this costume in a box at the thrift store and I just couldn't turn it down. Plus, when you can already climb walls, why not be Spider-whoever. Am I right?"
