Well, Kip -- By this time next week, you'll be both married and recovered from the thrill and exhaustion of the whole ordeal. (With any luck, rather)
And I will be very proud of you.
I've never married, so my sagely advice on the subject is rather nonexistent, but I can say that I'm glad for you. I'm glad you found someone you think worth marriage, I'm glad you found what you needed to find in your heart - and his - that let you be together.
It adds colour, you know, love does. To everything it touches.
I remember once when you were very young, you'd collected a jar of caterpillars and we're keeping them in your room. You showed them to me one day. You must have been about four - You were feeding them leaves.
Next I saw you, I asked about those little bugs - and you explained, much to my surprise - that they hadn't died or been forgotten, but you'd let them go so they could be where they needed to be.
I think that's when I knew what sort of man you'd be. The value you'd place on others, and the importance of being where it is you need to be. Even when it's hard, even when it seems impossible, and even in the face of those who might tell you you're wrong.
Or even if it means going places you'd never quite expect.
Congratulations, Tony.
