Kid's arrival had not been a happy one. The people who helped him during the strange arrival probably weren't exactly thrilled to know that they now had a full-fledged shinigami on their hands. To top things off, well, Kid now stood in his new apartment that was in complete disarray. He'd tried to go back home. Really, he'd tried. He'd made a very valiant effort to try. If even he couldn't, then Kid knew there wasn't a way back.
As Soul would have said, that was so not cool. This world was certainly different. The sun wasn't laughing at them and there was a moon that could be seen, as far as Kid could tell. He felt strange energy around them, but it wasn't quite the same as the souls back home. There was so much that was different, even if many things were the same.
The curtains were all twisted and turned up into knots as he'd tried to make do with what he had and make the windows look exactly perfectly even. Maka advised not to destroy the windows, which was probably a smart idea, but still! The table had been moved so it was completely centered in the apartment, even if that meant it was turned at a weird angle that no one would dare to sit at.
Kid was dressed in his usual black suit that he was quite fond of, even now as a shinigami. The door was wide open to his new apartment and Kid was busy moving the sofa. Okay, so, not really busy, but he was moving it left and right then back again trying to get it exactly right in his apartment.
