Dorian | Steve (616)
Then tell me, Steve Rogers. How would you have saved the planet. That's the point you seem to be missing, and I would just love for you to enlighten me. There is nothing in the world that I like more than learning something new. I'm always reading, about everything I can. Always interested in trying knew things. Always ready to tell someone their ideas are wrong before I supply them with a better one. Because what you're doing, Steve, is you're blaming your failure on Stark instead of accepting it for yourself.
And Tony lets you, -- I'll say it again -- because he loves you.
There was no other way to save your world than to watch that planet die. That is the solid truth, and it's one that you couldn't live with. Be letting you forget, by knocking you out even temporarily they weren't trying to stop you from interceding, they were trying to stop you from having to stand idle because there was nothing you could do. And you know that. Because even now, you can't tell me -- you can't tell me -- how you would have saved that world.
It would have killed you.
And Tony already watched that happen once. I dare say, he'd do anything to avoid it happening again.
