LOG: Samwise and Stinger Who: Samwise and Stinger Where: Sam's apartment in Potts tower What: Sam, of course, has a garden that he wants to share with anyone who wants to see it and Stinger mentioned wanting to see a garden When: Um, backdated to Sunday I think? Status: Incomplete, threaded.
Since coming here, Samwise had been busy. Well, keeping himself busy, more like. He was determined to not miss the Shire. Oh, it was nice that the others were here. Aragorn and Legolas and Gimli. Mr. Bilbo, too, but Samwise had never really been close with Mr. Bilbo. He was closer with Mr. Frodo, who wasn't here. At least that sneaky Gollum wasn't here, either, that much was good. And the other dwarves were here, too. Oh, and the other elf...Tauriel was her name. He didn't think he was forgetting anyone. It was good so many of them could be together, but it was still no Shire. They still didn't have the rolling fields or his garden or Rosie or having a second breakfast with his cousins.
Granted, Samwise had been away from the Shire before, but at least then, he'd known it was possible to return to it some day. He'd always had hope that they could return. No matter how bad things got, or how far they'd gotten into Mordor, Samwise had always believed that they would make it out alive. And they had. Worse for the wear, but they had gotten out alive.
However, here? There was no Shire. There was no home. He had to make do with what he had, and true to hobbit form, Sam wasn't going to just sit back and let this world do what it wanted to do to him. He was going to make a garden. And since he'd come here, Sam had been building a rather extravagant garden with mostly indoor plants. He watered the plants daily, knowing that this garden would be some semblance of home. And when a stranger, named Stinger, had asked to see his plants, how could Samwise say no? So, here he was, checking over the plants and watching it carefully to make sure all was in place, waiting for his new friend to come to visit.
