Who: Samwise Gamgee and OPEN
Where: In the lobby of Potts Tower, wishing it were summer
What: Sam's a bit like Olaf...he wishes it were warmer so he could plant something!
When: Today, early afternoon let's say!
Status: Open for anyone or complete as a narrative
At the end of all things, Samwise Gamgee had been looking forward to settling down with Rosie. It had been his plan ever since knowing that they could survive the whole quest, and questing was usually reserved for much greater men then simple hobbits. And then he'd found himself here, surrounded by friends all around. Dwarves and elves and Mr. Bilbo. He wished Mr. Frodo were here. Or Gandalf. Or someone far wiser than himself.
Humming as he went through the lobby, Sam looked outdoors glumly, wishing it were warmer and summer already so he could start building a garden. He had grand plans, sketches already laid out in his apartment room. He had no intention of going outside in snow so high that he could disappear into it. It reminded him of their trip through the mountains, where it had taken Aragorn and the others picking him up to keep him from falling through it completely. "Maybe I could be the gardener here. Certainly this place could use some cheering up a bit. I mean, what with the strange worlds and weird things happening, people are bound to be sad some time," Sam commented happily. Then, as his thoughts progressed back to the Shire itself, the brave hobbit smiled sadly.
"Mr. Frodo would like this place, I think. It's quite different from anything we've ever known. I mean, something like this is for kings like Aragorn. Not for us hobbits. I wish they'd let us build our hobbit holes here, but I can't find a place to do it. Or even having good old Bill back would be lovely...." Anyone wandering through Potts tower today would be hearing Sam's rambles, quite similar to this, as he stared outside at the cold weather and the snow.
