Stark didn’t know what time he’d gotten back to Banner’s penthouse in Stark Tower. And he’d only meant to sit down on the sofa for a minute, but the trip to Vegas with Black Widow, Clint and Jasper -- and coming back to Titans wasn’t exactly what he wanted to do, and by the time he actually got the chance to stop for a minute all he could do was pass out.
Sleeping in the Iron Man suit wasn’t ideal.
But after a shower, and Bruce’s breakfast foods, he was ready to head back to the grind. Back to the set up at Stark Expo to examine the two titans which remained alive, the third -- which they hadn’t managed to capture safely, had already been handed over to Stark Resilient’s science team. The live ones, he still wasn’t sure what he was going to do with. But as long as he could contain them properly, they had time and options.
It was strange, being back on the old Stark Expo turf. Since Vanko’s attack in 2010, Tony had thought about rebuilding it, and fixing it up and turning into something that was new, something that was entirely his own instead of the Expo that his father had operated for generations. But then the attack on New York, Extremis and the tesseract -- everything that happened with SHIELD. There hadn’t been a lot of time for him to focus on his projects or what he wanted.
Even his relationship with Pepper had suffered. They had originally picked next weekend of their wedding, but they’d pushed it back indefinitely until they had more time to breathe and exist for each other instead of for everyone else.
He flew in, in the suit and once he spotted Mikasa he opened the faceplate and landed near-by her. “Hey -- hey there, how’s it going with our new friends here?”
