Keeping her scarf wrapped around her neck loosely, Mikasa took in the apartment's appearance out of curiosity. It certainly seemed like Dawn's personality, at least, and it seemed like she really was trying to decorate her house. Standing a bit uncertainly in the middle of the kitchen when she entered, Mikasa glanced around briefly then back at Dawn when she asked her about background noise.
Being in the silence wasn't something that bothered her, really. She was used to it. It was really here that Mikasa had come to know such things as radio and television. She still didn't really enjoy that form of entertainment, but there were many times when she found herself enjoying it, as well. "Perhaps the television," she remarked lightly. "I still find that I can ignore it more often than not while doing other things." She didn't mean it in a bad way; it was just that watching television was not the most important thing in her life. "And I'd want to make sure I'm learning how to bake these. It's...been a while since I've been able to do that."
