Ellie wasn't surprised that she asked that question. "I spent a lot of my early childhood in Africa - my dad was a missionary," she explained. "It was mostly just us until he died, my mum had died when I was quite young. I spent the rest of my childhood in orphanages," she told Chloe. It wasn't a big deal to her, it was what made her into who she was today and she wouldn't change that for the world.
"It does and that is true. It's so easy, sure it's something and it is money which is helpful. It's just not MY work," she explained knowing Chloe would fully understand what she meant. "Exactly, I sometimes wonder if I should talk to SHIELD or Stark or someone to see if they can put me on the right track for field work but at the same time I'm not sure if we'd be allowed. Still it would be interesting to do it again." Takig a sip of her drink she nodded. "That's true, it is a lot better now that Charlie is here. Do you have anyone here?"
