And there was a perfect set up for Chloe to ask a more personal question and not seem so invasive or forward. "Where did you grow up? Since it obviously wasn't a big city, I'm guessing," she commented before picking at the edge of her cup cozy. Chloe had been in her fair share of cities and she could honestly say that she would prefer a nice tropical island somewhere with only a select for --or just a certain someone-- to spend it with. She liked treasure, and money, but she was still fairly simple woman at her roots.
She laughed gently. "Well that's certainly a plus," she insisted. "Besides it's not as if you aren't qualified for it, probably overqualified by their standards," Chloe complimented fairly. The comment about being in the field made the treasure hunter grin. They certainly had a lot more in common than she thought. "To be out, looking for something, would be ideal right about now. Unfortunately it's a lot harder to do when you start at square one in terms of income and resources." Though if Nate were here he would find a way. There would be some sort of connection he'd find that would get them a job and it'd be just like home. Like Ellie, she did miss her "team." Chloe nodded in understanding and smiled a bit more sadly at the other woman. "I know how you feel -- not exactly, of course, but, enough that you don't have to go into much detail." She took another drink of her tea and wondered about what was happening back in her dimension, video game, whatever it was properly addressed as. "I suppose you're right. And you've got your partner here, at least. So that's a definite plus and must've made things a little easier?"
