The treasure hunter noticed right away that Ellie's accent was a little difficult to place but certainly not your typical American slang. "I can't blame you," Chloe insisted with a shake of her head. "I've only been in this city twice before and I have to admit I'd rather find my way around a city of catacombs. People can be incredibly selfish and unmindful here," she commented. Though it was expected for New York -- the city that never slept and was on a constant rush, etc etc. In a way it made her miss home. Even before she had been taken from her point in time, it had been a while since she'd gone back to Australia.
Chloe mirrored the other woman's smile before taking a drink of her tea finally. "Agreed. Though you're quite a few steps ahead of me what with a job and all," she admitted. She really didn't have a clue as to what she could do in terms of income. It didn't seem as though there were too many folks heading up expeditions for lost cities or treasure. "It's alright, for the most part. At first it was.. well it all seemed like a joke at first," Chloe confessed. "Then after seeing a few things and realizing I wasn't hallucinating or dead, I came to terms with it. Still have a bunch of questions though, of course. Why being the biggest," she said as she looked over at Ellie. "What about you? You've been here a bit longer than I have."
