Resentment melted away when the blanket went around Katniss's shoulders. Even though they'd felt suffocating before, the blanket felt like a comforting embrace. Maybe it was because the cold air had chilled her enough that she wanted the warmth. She closed the window most of the way, leaving it open just enough for a bit of air to come in through a crack, and took hold of the corners of the blankets to hold it more closely around her.
"You don't have to take care of me," she said, but it came out quiet rather than argumentative. She felt the need to point it out, even though she was going to let him do it anyway. She only flinched a little bit at the touch, right at the beginning. Not because it was invasive, but because it had startled her.
Wrapped in her blanket, she started to head for the kitchen. She wasn't sure she really wanted tea, but she definitely wasn't going back to sleep. At least drinking tea gave her something to do.
