I'm so glad you didn't go with an island. I've done islands, but I think I might have gone a bit crazy there.
If Lando doesn't own part of a tower somewhere on Galactic City I'll be shocked.
Eastport Docking facilities what isn't nearby?
More importantly - you're about a forty minute air taxi ride from the Senate district, Imperial Palace, the Galactic Senate halls, Monument Plaza, and so forth. Monument Plaza is the only place you'll see bedrock, and the bedrock you see? Top of a mountain range. That's how tall buildings are on Coruscant - 5000+ levels, it makes New York City look like child's play. There are residents that never see the sun - but I wouldn't recommend going to the under city on your first day - it's a bit rough.
Coruscant is about 60% human population 40% non-human, you're most likely to see those non-humans in the under city, or in the tourist areas around Monument Plaza and the City.
In your building, or a short air taxi ride or walkway away is going to be plenty of shopping. You'll probably want to pick up a holdout blaster, most people carry them - there's no carry laws like there are here and you're better to have one - even if you just set it on stun - than to not. There are dataports around the city if you want to plug in, and the HoloNet will provide you with access to news, ridiculous stories that are absolutely not true about Luke Skywalker and the heroes of the rebellion, and communication.
You probably won't have money for seats at the Skysitter Restaurant, but don't worry because there's a cantina the next tower over, probably at least six, and they'll sell you Corellian ale so you can get over the whole 'I'm in a galaxy far, far away' thing.
