Come on, Jack, you can do better than that. He wasn't used to being stared at like that, even with a couple months of this world under his belt. It was a big change from his world, where only a handful of people had ever been able to see him up until recently. To go from that to this was a shock, to say the least, and Jack kept forgetting that people would be able to see him.
He shook the surprise off and flashed the girl a bright grin. "I'm Jack," he announced. He took a step closer, but he kept his distance, in part because he wasn't sure how she'd feel about him or his magic. Out of the snow flurry came a rabbit, hopping along in the air towards the girl, leaving a trail of snowflakes in its wake. See? Jack thought. Harmless. Everyone loved bunnies.
