James was looking over the classes he had chosen to take and hoped they would be interesting. Tony had taught them much growing up and while he wasn't fully sure if he would need these lessons or not, he could understand everyone sayind that he and the others who were underage needed them. Given they had no idea how long they would really be here in this version of Earth, they did need to be prepared. Even if they forgot what they learned here at least they would have the knowledge while they were here.
Brushing his hair from his face (and ignoring that it fell right back where it had been), he put the schedule of classes away and stretched out. School aside, he was wondering some about sports. With things seemingly calming down some, he was hoping that he could get to learn more about sports. Tony hadn't delved much into sports. But James wanted to find out more about baseball and football and even hockey. Even soccer seemed interesting to learn. And the best part was many of the sports were on teams so they had to build up friendships and trusts. Or so he would believe until he found out otherwise. He grew contemplative and wondered if his father would ever have the time to teach him some about baseball. Couldn't hurt to ask at least, right?
Getting up from his bed, James moved over and picked up his shield he had retrieved from Ultron's Iron Captain America. He ran his hand along it's surface, studying it carefully. It looked like any other version he had seen of his father's shield. Round. Painted red, white and blue with a white star painted in the center. Some of the paint though was mussed up here and there from god knew how many fights. He flipped it over and studied the arm straps, making sure they were both still sturdy and functional for use. HYDRA fighting aside, it hadn't seen much use here and for that he was grateful. Fights and battles weren't glorious or anything. They were hard and often brutal and people always got hurt. Moving over, he placed his shield down near his bed where it was within easy reach should he have need of it.
Turning from the shield, he moved over to the shield energy gauntlet Tony had made him and studied it. He needed to see if someone here could repair it. He didn't care if he already had one shield. Better safe than sorry in his mind. And given who the hell knew what the Tesseract or even this world would throw at them, better to be as prepared as one could be. He set the broken gauntlet down and decided to take a quick shower before he headed to bed. Once he was done he tugged on a pair of black shorts and a tank top before he flopped in bed and stretched out, staring at the ceiling. He still wasn't tired enough to sleep but he didn't want to get up either. Shifting to his night stand, he picked up the book that was lying there and began reading it, losing track of time. After several hours of reading he fell asleep, the book slipping from his hand and to the floor.
