There was no way for Carol to know but her body was immediately setting at repairing the damage she had inadvertently caused. There wasn't much that Kree DNA couldn't fix. But while physically her body mended back into place, there was something not quite right. The mind was made new, with fresh connections over ones that were older.
And all of it took its toll. How much sleep had she had in the past three months? Between work and the migraines and everything else, it just hadn't seemed important. She could always just keep going, catching quick catnaps as she went. But now her body halted, forcing a stop when she wouldn't have taken one.
For a moment Carol's eyes fluttered open. Did she see stars? It didn't matter because she fell back immediately into darkness.
