Every time they talked, she felt how similar and different they were. In the best of ways though. Sometimes it was like looking into a mirror. And sometimes she wondered how that girl had gotten to where she was. Though if you had asked her if she would have liked to have another version of her around, she would have said no - that answer would have changed now. She was glad to have her by her side when it was things like this. Because clearly she could trust Carol to do what had to be done, just like she would.
That was the best part of the similarities between them. And someone else who loved to fly? Yes please. She whipped through the air, racing higher and faster. Every time she was out there, it was like being home. On the ground was okay, but this was where she felt the best. She was barely paying attention to the fact that Carol was beating her, or that she was about to fully give out on her.
She was about to open her mouth to give a smart ass answer in return about keeping up with her when she finally noticed Carol start to seize up and then started to fall.
"Fuck," she muttered, stopping in her tracks as she immediately turned around and raced like hell to reach out and catch the other woman with both arms before she hit the ground.
Once she had her, she looked around for a safe place to deposit her on the ground without a lot of people around. She knew what had happened, almost instinctively. "Shit shit shit.. Carol.. Carol wake up. Come on. Please don't be dead."
