Sam could only imagine. He remembered the world from the movies, to a certain degree, though he was certain they hadn't truly captured it. Mara had something to that effect too, he thought. Of course, at the time he'd watched them, he hadn't exactly been studying it with an interest in understanding a real alternate universe.
"Yeah," he said. "I remember Mara spent a lot of time doing research. And she still asks me about certain things, occasionally." Like Argentina. "This world is almost the same as mine, we just have less superheroes and aliens. And no SHIELD, or SWORD." He chuckled a little into his beer. "That's a government agency for you. Loads of paperwork. I had a fair amount, too, joining up with the NYPD."
