It had been quite a day for Rebekah, and staying in the Tower wasn't the best place for her to go over her thoughts. Since her time here, Rebekah had not been very productive. Her only family here was Hayley and Hope. As strange as this was for Rebekah, her only friend here was Caroline. In retrospect it was a nice change as she wasn't entirely eager to be reunited with her brothers again.
The most difficult part was that Rebekah was now running out on money. She no longer had the unlimited funds she had back home and the idea of working had put her into a bad mood. So when the opportunity came up over the Network about SWORD, Rebekah started to consider her options. The work wouldn't be boring, at least compered to clothing store she interviewed for last week, and it would put her skills to use. Being known as a vampire and being watched wasn't exactly the ideal setting for Rebekah. She had figured it was in her best interest to lay low for now. Find out what this world had to offer in terms of what to expect. Not that Rebekah was in fear of her life.
There were perks to being an Original.
Applying and joining SWORD would definitely be something new for Rebekah, but wasn't that the idea? Isn't that what Rebekah had wanted for so long? To start over?
Decisions had to be made and the only decision she had made so far was not to snap the neck of a young gentleman that had been following her. Human were sluggish and he had not put any effort to stay anonymous. The moment he had tried to grab her, she whirled around and had him against the wall in moments.
"Now where are your manners?" Rebekah hissed as she cocked her head to the side. "Didn't your mother teach you how to respect a lady?" Her hands were tight against his throat as he gagged, and within seconds he was on the ground gasping for air. "Run along. And if you don't clean up your act, the police will clean up your insides from this sidewalk." Rebekah smiled politely as the jerk ran off. Brushing a strand of loose hair, she placed her hands back into her pockets and turned off into the alley. New York City was so easy sometimes.
