Backdated to the evening of 7 August because I got majorly distracted by Call the Midwife on Netflix.

Uhm. I appear to be in some difficulty. I'm in H&M in Times Square and the electricity has gone out, and while I can't see see it, something is going on outside. And there is a woman here with me in the changing rooms who is enceinteexpecting and she's very uncomfortable right now.

She -- oh, I think she's more frightened than anything, but she is fairly far along. Claudia -- that's her name -- says that they're false labor pains.

Well, you should still not worry, because babies are born every day. And it much, much worse conditions than the upper floor of a shop in the largest changing room. I mean, my own sisters gave birth in their own homes, with only a midwife.

We can hardly expect her to walk to a hospital when she is done, can we? Babies are born all the time, Mr. Stark, and she and the babe will be perfectly fine, I promise. It can't be terribly difficult, can it, delivering a baby? We do it every day. But I am afraid that Claudia won't be having her epidural.
