"But you still are...more than human in a lot of ways." She closed her eyes and then smiled softly and shrugged. "We all think we're not worthy, but you know what Sam? We are. We both are." She opened her eyes and looked at him seriously. "You're the most incredible man, and not because you have powers that are extraordinary. That's one of the things I like best about you. Besides the way you've been able to heal me, and to keep me from feeling like how men treated me in the past was the only way to be treated. You helped knock down my walls, and I can never thank you enough for that. I hope I can keep...doing whatever Mars magic I've been doing that's helped you before, and maybe it will help now."
She melted a bit at his words and his caress, and she leaned into his touch, kissing his hands. "I do know, tree. Sometimes I need to be reminded. But I'm going to help YOU now, okay?" She smiled, and tried to keep a dark feeling from settling over her chest. He was here and he loved her still, everything else could be worked out.
She kissed his hand again and then laughed a little, reaching up to ruffle his hair. "How about we start by going back to the apartment. We can do something stupid and get out minds off...everything. Better yet, we can do something....that gives us a workout."
